So I said I would jot down some thoughts about how I tour by bike. I must stress that there are a hundred different ways to do this, and my lackadaisical approach is far from the definitive one!
I've become fond of the landlady of a pub near where I stay for work. Because it's Christmas, I plucked up the courage to tell her how much I enjoyed being in her company, and asked if I could take her out for dinner in January. Reader, she said yes. This makes me happy.
Plan a peaceful protest that would inconvenience motorists: five years in prison.
Motorist drives without insurance, hits seven-year-old boy, leaves him to die at the scene. Fourteen weeks suspended.
I have no words.
Been admitted to the psychiatric unit at Homerton hospital. Completely overwhelmed by the events of the last 12 hours, and anxiety levels are sky-high. Feel safer in here than out there though. City of London Police and the NHS staff have been fantastic.
It's #WorldSuicidePreventionDay
In March I was in a psychiatric unit, having tried to end my life. Today I'm riding my bike along the beautiful Spanish coast.
If you're struggling, keep going. Life can be brutal, but it's also beautiful- & worth fighting for.
You've got this👊
D-day- the D is for discharge! 5 wks ago I came here, overwhelmed & suicidal. Today I'm leaving with a plan to beat my illness. The transition to Home Treatment has been seamless. Still a long way to go, but I'm up for the fight. Thanks to @NHS_ELFT & all of you for the support.
Six months to the day since I was discharged from a psychiatric unit. Today I'm eating chocolate bread in the pretty square of a medieval French town. Life is good 👍
If you're struggling, hang in there. Might not seem like it now, but things do get better. I'm proof of that 👊

The French seem to be all over the pandemic. Cafes ask for proof of vaccination, and I haven't seen a single person in a shop without a face covering. Meanwhile, supermarkets are full of food and petrol stations empty of queues. It's nice to spend some time in a grown-up country!
Sat at the bar in a Waterloo pub, an empty barstool next to me. Two ladies come in, one sits down. I give my seat to the other, & we all get chatting. One's getting married in July, so I jokingly asked the other if she needed a plus one for the wedding. We're going out next week!
And we're off! Seven weeks of freedom, of life distilled to its simplest form. The only decisions I have to make are which way to go, what to eat, and where to sleep. I absolutely love it.
Let's do this! 👍🚴♂️🏕🌍
I struggle with life. Bipolar is a bastard, & often gets the better of me. I have little self-esteem. But right now, sat on this mountain under a blanket of stars & with a glass of whisky in my hand, I feel like the king of the world. Pretty overwhelming- definitely going to cry!
Fucking hell, that's a 55 tonne crane! @Ainscough_ you need to address this ASAP. Your driver was inches from killing someone, and should not be on the road. Worst I've ever seen.
It's a year since I was discharged from the psychiatric unit at Homerton hospital. Seems a lifetime ago. Going in I couldn't conceive of a future- and now I'm living it. Hang on in there, because things do get better. Thanks as always for the wonderful support ❤👍
