    On behalf of the entire @PhillyFireDept, I want to appreciate the support from our partners, fire-EMS family, and this great city. Our focus right now is on: Supporting Matt’s family/friends, honoring his service, taking care of our own, and completing the fire investigation.

    Being at the scene, in the fire building, & aboard M25 as we transported Matt, I do know this: Every member of @PhillyFireDept involved in this tragic incident did their absolute best to extinguish the fire, rescue their brother firefighter, and provide excellent patient care.

    Incredibly proud of our entire team after 10 hours at this 6-Alarm 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 w/ 300+ dedicated @PhillyFireDept + @PhilaOEM members who battled this blaze while their colleagues continued answering calls & responded to 100s of other emergency incidents across the city!

    Incredible work by @PhillyFireDept + @PhilaOEM members overnight; including this 3-Alarm building fire in Kensington. Firefighters saved a row of occupied homes by placing themselves between the 🔥 & residents... #fireiseveryonesfight #24x7x365
