The members of Red Line SG have recently been made aware of the history of our home bar, Reggie's, in hosting white supremacist artists and records at its now-defunct record store, as well as recent shows from a band that uses a lot of fascist/Third Reich imagery and references
To ensure supporters of color, Jewish supporters, and all members of our community feel safe and affirmed at Red Line events, we are dissolving our partnership with Reggie's. RLSG will be undergoing a shift in operations and will share more information in the coming weeks.
Rock Against Racism is temporarily postponed. We are working with our friends in ACU and Black Fires to put on a great anti-racist show as soon as we can. We always welcome support/collaboration in putting events together, including recommendations of BIPOC-owned venues and bars.
We desire partners that are able to publicly affirm their responsibilities in this moment. With fascism on the rise around the world, we expect our partners to be able to do the bare minimum in denouncing it. #cf97#mkot
The owner of Reggie's confirmed this is accurate and RLSG leadership told them that if there was going to be a path forward, we expect a public statement from the bar denouncing platforming of white supremacist and fascist music. They have not agreed to these terms.
Today we were able to get new soccer shoes to 18 Venezuelan refugees.
Wish it had been a nicer day out but now they are well equipped to join our free weekly pickup whenever they'd like.

Big shout out to @barnburners1871 for taking video so we can get some of the new stuff out before people get in the section on Saturday!
