It’s true. RCV is fundamentally flawed to its core. No matter where it’s been tried — in Maine or elsewhere — the system is confusing, leads to delayed results, and trashes ballots to manufacture a fake majority.

Only 4% of federal programs comply with the law requiring them to use a system that could stop fraud before a single dollar goes out the door. The other 96% are ignoring it. FGA's @LieselCrocker breaks down what it's costing us. 🧵+ LINK.

The fix: Connect all federal databases to Do Not Pay, require every federal program to use it, and mandate state and local use for Medicaid, food stamps, and other high-risk programs. FGA estimates these changes would save more than $95B. That's significant taxpayer dollars.

87 percent of all adult cash welfare recipients live in blue states. Why? Red states implemented the 1996 reforms. Blue states didn't. The result: millions of able-bodied adults who should be working are still on the rolls — and the truly needy pay the price. 🧵

11 million Medicaid expansion enrollees in blue states alone will likely be subject to the new work requirements. If blue states are allowed to stall, millions of able-bodied adults stay trapped on welfare. Then the reform fails.
