I have no issue with H1B.
American engineering companies sent all their high skilled jobs over seas decades ago for cheaper labor and higher profits. This in turn led to no need for an engineering degree in America as there were no more jobs to support it.

My two guesses are:
Either simultaneous dual engine failure (bird strike?). Or they mistakenly retracted flaps instead of gear with the “positive rate - gear up” callout.
Will be interesting to find out with the investigation what really happened.
