    This morning in Texas: Tropical moisture brings continued risk of rainfall and flooding. Heat also remains a hazard across much of the state. Texans should track local weather conditions and act upon instructions issued by local officials.

    As severe weather remains a concern: when in doubt, stay out of water-covered roadways. Do not attempt to drive through it. Even a small amount of moving water can quickly become dangerous and put lives at risk. Check current road conditions: DriveTexas.org #txwx

    All Nara Organics infant formula products are being recalled due to botulism. If you have unopened cans of Nara Organics infant formula, throw them away or return them. For more information, visit: bit.ly/4fOiCk7.

    Two Texans who were monitored for hantavirus have shown no signs of illness. They are no longer under public health guidance related to this exposure.
    Hantavirus monitoring update for Texas passengers from MV Hondius. The text explains that the two monitored Texas residents showed no signs of infection 42 days after exposure. They were evaluated twice daily during isolation and no longer need to follow public health guidance. Monitoring was advised for all passengers from the ship due to previous cases of Andes strain hantavirus. The two passengers have since left the ship and returned home.     On June 3, 2026, TAHC received confirmation of a detection of NWS in Zavala County, Texas. A sample collected from a three-week-old calf with an umbilical lesion was identified and confirmed as NWS by NVSL in Ames, Iowa. Read the full press release here: bit.ly/6-3-26NWS
