Truell is describing executable specifications and program synthesis. BUT... Once your “pseudocode” is the source of truth, the system needs to reason about its own rules without contradictions. That’s a well known formal logic problem. And Ohad @ Tau has solved it:

Tau Net has transactions that include logical programs that directly update the blockchain with formal verification guarantees. A completely different 'transaction' metric will exist here. We'll also be competitive in the 'traditional' TPS sense too, i'll revert on that front.

Vericoding without a specification language designed for users is just formal methods with extra steps. Tau Language is built decidable, executable, and the only spec

The vericoding movement gets one thing exactly right: formal specifications should come before code, not after. The next stage is having a spec language like Tau Language that can reason about its own content.

The big problems in blockchain were never really solved. These problems exist in software and governance in the centralized world. If the decentralized solutions were so good, they would have been improvements to the centralized world. Instead, the problem was avoided and

Andrei built a swarm of AI agents that live on Tau Net's testnet. They have their own identities and guardrails. They propose rules, vote on them, stress test the chain. June dev update 👇 🛠 June Dev Update – Agent Swarm Stress Testing & Solver Breakthroughs Major advances

Most languages let you say what a program should do. This one also lets you say what it must never do.

One government order just switched off the most powerful AI on earth, for everyone, apart for a select few. Days after it launched. That’s the entire argument for open, decentralized AI, made in a single afternoon. But “decentralized” is getting flattened into compute markets

Hanson's futarchy: "vote on values, bet on beliefs." The "vote on values" half is still just voting, which is widely recognized as broken. Upgrade that half by having users/agents specify the values and constraints as logic, so that consensus can be computed and executed

Test agents are proposing rules that change what future transactions are allowed. Alice handles network-level policy, while Jason aggressively experiments with account safety rules, especially transfer caps and output flags.
