    BREAKING: Rhode Island Senator Harold Metts, a *30-year* Dem lawmaker who is a fervent opponent of abortion rights, has **lost** Tuesday's primary against a 26-year old progressive who's a reproductive rights advocate. The mail-in ballots just came in: Tiara Mack won 60% to 40%.

    I can't possibly understate the political & policy consequences of this: Democrats just gained full control of four state governments today. Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, and Minnesota. (I have no idea what to make of the aliteration.)
