Sick of hearing about how hard quarantine facilities are. This is not a holiday, and yes my beef is with tourists who are complaining about the heat, the mosquitoes, the sheets, having to follow protocols...You chose to risk lives by travelling for leisure during a pandemic.

Not my usual type of tweets but A thread (trigger warning): Today has been a very frustrating day filled with absolute helplessness to help our little children. With overwhelming emotions already taking a toll on me I go to a bus stop. There is an old man there. Just him.

Can everyone at the swearing in ceremony wear a Palestinian badge or green colour or some token symbolic of 🇵🇸 to show 🇲🇻 solidly with 🇵🇸? This event will be covered in international news? Would make a good statement.

How many of us truly understand the emotional toll COVID-19 is having on the very lower level of the social strata. Imagine having to worry about paying rent so your family have a roof over there head, enough food to feed every mouth, worrying about rent after this month

This is such a shame. Very poor decisions. Ramadan is coming up shortly. Resort workers have families to support too. Whilst your plate maybe abundant, for some it may be scraps and you may be taking that away too.

Rwanda has recorded NO case of the epidemic but look at the measures they are taking. No matter how much you have followed to dot the guidelines, dealing with an outbreak in a city with 1/3 of the entire population will be a massive burden on the health care system + economy

No vote is above the safety of your family, loved ones’, neighbours’ and your safety. You may feel helpless under the power of the elite, powerful, mega rich, but you are most powerful because at the end of the day you cast the deciding vote. DONT GO VOTE IF YOU DONT FEEL SAFE

But there are those who think of “faseyha nuvun” “araamunuvun” even when it’s of a 2yr old. Who thinks it’s ok to talk to a strange woman he just met at the bus stop about pleasure & “bunaa kameh kohdhinun” which someone my age might. That’s some men for u. Today of all days

Thread on access to education for children: Children from grades 0-10 take a speedboat to go to school in Baa. Goidhoo from their native Baa. Fehendhoo. There is no operational school in Fehendhoo at the moment, and the children attend school in the neighboring island.

So we just stand by and watch as a government obliterates an entire people? What good is democracy, human rights machines, international law if all it is meant to do is act only to benefit certain countries? My heart weeps for Palestinians 🇵🇸and all civilian lives lost.

Homemade Dhiyaa Hakuru from Th. Buruni. Dhiyaahakuru is sap from coconut palm trees which is then cooked for a number of days to thicken. It’s a traditional sugar. Pairs really well with ‘huni roshi’ (coconut flat bread). #supportlocalbusiness

Why not practice this long in to the future? @WAMCOmv staff climbing stairs in every single building they are assigned to vs people bringing their own trash down in their respective buildings only.
