Idk if this is canon anymore but the reason why Mace was the only one who didn't instantly die to Palpatine in ROTS is because Palpatine used the force to put a complex riddle inside all the Jedi's heads. Mace simply ignored it while the others briefly stopped to try and solve it
I think the current explanation is that he used a "force scream" (the little roar he lets out as he's spinning) to disorient all of them. Fisto was able to slightly resist it while Mace was just unaffected

Slight correction:
ArcSys had the rights to make a traditional Guilty Gear game, they just couldn't use any characters introduced in GGX and onward. Those games were all published by Sammy Studios which merged with SEGA in 2004
This is why Dizzy is called "Maiden of the Grove" in Guilty Gear 2. The game heavily implies that she's Dizzy but never outright confirms this because they couldn't use her
