Did they… did they add three decimal places to make £5k look like £5.2 million?

75 year olds today were born in 1949, they were teenagers in the 60s and the only war they’d have fought in would be the Falklands, if they’d chosen to enlist. Our perception of pensioners as Vera Lynn singing D-Day veterans is 20 years out of date

What if, and hear me out here, we invented some sort of token that I could use to exchange for my carrots and then any other food I wanted, so I wasn’t limited to swapping just with people who want carrots

Harry Hill’s TV Burp was 10/10 entertainment. Basically half an hour of memes we all collectively watched each week

All the Outnumbered kids (including Jake who’s an IT consultant and a father) are renting, bit of a step down from the four bed Chiswick end terrace their parents could afford, I appreciated that bit of realism

This ordinary suburban London 3 bed house in Zone 4 metroland was built in the 1930s for ordinary middle class families. Today it costs almost a million pounds and you’d need to be in the top 0.5% of earners to be able to buy it on a mortgage
