Congratulations Judge Kavanaugh! Instead of a 6-3 liberal Supreme Court under Hillary Clinton, we now have a 5-4 conservative Supreme Court under President @realDonaldTrump, cementing a tremendous legacy for the President and a better future for America

Simply stunning to see a career public servant forced to fall on his sword like this by a President of the United States. "Are you doing this voluntarily?" asks @PaulaReidCBS Fauci: "Everything I do is voluntary. Please. Don't even imply that".

We’re witnessing tonight the start of a long, hot, dangerous summer in America. 40 million unemployed, racial tensions unresolved, guns everywhere, Covid-19 everywhere and a President uniquely unable and unwilling to heal or lead the nation.

Biden's speech a total repudiation not just of Trump, but of the unleashing of conspiracy theories and lies that he mainstreamed in American society. Urges people to "defend the truth, defeat the lies". That is has to be articulated is a measure of the challenges ahead.

America, 2020: A land where 9 days before Election Day the White House Chief of Staff finally concedes the Trump administration is not even attempting to control the pandemic, but insists it will be defeated because "we're Americans, that's what we do".

So Kim gets his photo op and the imprimatur of US respectability. Trump gets....an early trip back on Air Force One to face the Cohen music. Summitry is never easy. But Trump is now 0-2 and seems to have learned nothing from Singapore. Biegun, of course, will carry the can.
