A thread below. Unfortunately as of today (26/10/2024) I am currently forced to retire Shimi as a wearable fursuit. Through no build quality fault at all. (He is pretty much in the brand new condition I received him,

You may not believe it, but Shimi is actually pretty large. Like big big, just not often shown in perspective with photos of them.

more or less, on Jan 2020 making him coming up 5 Years old now.) In which now one of the materials he is made from ( the lining) has begun to bleed, and can’t be removed without a full invasive deconstruction and rebuild.

I personally am broke and unable to fund such an effort anyways. So for the mean time right now, I will take him to furcation 2024 to be seen but I won’t be wearing him. And then that’ll be it, until something is figured out. But am a bit devastated. Rn

There was no way to foresee this during the original construction from the makers perspective or the formative ownership duration from mine, as I have washed the suit many times in its life, and only now does it start to terminally run. The original furs are no

longer produced so it is to be incredibly challenging to source replacement items. [pretty much make a brand new partial is what is required. As the bodysuit is ok.] And currently with my company in its second year of running.
