MY CURRENT VIEW: Dozens upon dozens of people are slowly gathering outside of the D.C. court House in support of an organizer said to be pepper sprayed and detained by @wmata transit police last night when she advocated for youth accused for jumping fare. - This morning, a group of @dcpublicschools substitute teachers will lead a protest in front of the John A. Wilson Building in demand of a substantial pay raise. Right now, DCPS substitutes make $15 per hour. They have not had a raise since 2008.
- SCOOP: U.S. Atty for D.C. Jeanine Pirro sent a letter to the D.C. Council asking for "reconsider[ation] of the Second Chance Amendment Act, the Incarceration Reduction Amendment Act, and the Youth Rehabilitation Act." Some concern, I'm told, that @CMBrookePinto will act on this.

- Garveyites, Moors, Israelites, African religious practitioners, and all those in between showed love and respect to the late Baba Oduno Tarik earlier today. His homegoing service was a testament to his impact on the D.C. area for more than 50 years.
