Today I voted against the government in order to a stop no deal Brexit. I along with 20 colleagues have had the Conservative Whip removed. I will continue to fight for the interests of my constituents as their MP.

Shocked by the reckless move to suspend parliament to deliver an extreme Brexit for which there is no mandate. Taking a wrecking ball to the constitution by suspending parliament to avoid scrutiny, is no way to uphold democracy. I will work on a cross party basis to stop no deal

Brexit Party won 5.2m votes, so the question for Nigel is where is the rest of the 17.4m “betrayed”. #EUelections2019

Let’s be clear what’s happened in the last 48 hrs. The Government was found guilty of lying to the Queen in order to shut down Parliament to deliver a destructive and damaging Brexit. Its response has been to attack Parliament and savage MPs. Dangerous, disgraceful, deceitful.

First they said the leader of the party had to be a no dealer, then they said every minister had to sign the no deal pledge to serve. Now every MP who votes against no deal chaos could be purged. We’ve come a long way in a very short space of time...this is not real Conservatism

The Sunday Times has obtained a copy of the government's classified 'Yellowhammer' report on the chaos expected after a no-deal Brexit. Find out how Whitehall is preparing for food and medicine shortages, transport disruption and civil unrest in our comprehensive coverage.

We are where we are because Johnson won the Tory leadership on the back of a promise to deliver a hard Brexit ‘do or die’ by the 31st. With no majority, little time, and no desire to compromise, the promise was never deliverable. Blaming parliament for his failure is dishonest.

After careful reflection, I will not be supporting the Government on the EU Withdrawal Agreement. As such, I have tended my resignation as Universities & Science Minister – read more on my Facebook page: facebook.com/20438821971510…

Downing St has stopped selling the PMs flawed deal. Instead we have displacement activity designed to distract from last weeks failed renegotiation. And a concerted attempt to discredit every plausible alternative as they run down the clock. This is not in the national interest.

Interesting how Conservative colleagues are all now saying that to break the Brexit deadlock, we need to let the people back into the process. Isn’t that what a second referendum is designed to do.

This Parliament has became a farce. Its time for a General Election to put our arguments to the public and let the people decide. They respect democracy and only they can restore trust in politics. stephenmetcalfe.org.uk/news/stephen-m…

At the heart of the Bercow saga is that a Gov’t with no majority is trying to ram through an unpopular Brexit deal. Backing MPs into a corner by offering artificial choices, limiting scope to debate other options and running down the clock. This is not in the national interest.

Dominic Grieve is an outstanding Parliamentarian. The transparency and scrutiny he has fought for during the Brexit process, such as the right for MPs to have a "Meaningful Vote' on the Brexit deal, has benefited leavers and remainers - and enhanced our parliamentary democracy.
