- 10 years ago I lost my brother to addiction. Today I got to speak to the SHS Senior Class about his story. Grateful to have the support of these two athletes in my corner on stage. Mental health & substance abuse are so important to talk about with students & athletes alike.
- Only 4 of 30 teams at team camp had female coaches. It’s time for both/and thinking. You can know the game AND be female. You can be in a leadership role AND be a great mom. You can be exactly you AND earn respect. Women, let gender roles go. The world needs your leadership.

- Ella Stemmer became Saline’s all time leading scorer this season with 1421 career points & counting! She’s more efficient than any player I’ve seen. She’s averaging 25.4 points on 14.0 shot attempts per game. 👀 She’s shooting 50% from 3, 58% from 2, & 93.3% from the line. 🔥

- Today marks a day of revival for the journey of these strong women. Enthusiastic spirit & outward joy filled the 6 ft spaces between them in the gym today. Even in masks-You cannot destroy the passion of a Hornet. No matter the rules, we will keep showing up & fighting..together!
- Back to back District Champs! This group of young women have put in the work and bought into a culture of togetherness, inspiration and gratitude. We’ve said all year that unity is our special sauce. And, wow, are these women saucy.
