This is unacceptable @VCU. Sending in the police to break up a peaceful protest at a public university is a complete violation of these students’ right to free speech and assembly.

I took my mom to vote - it's an amazing thing, that 23 years after we came to the US, she sees her son on the ballot. My family has been through a lot, from climate catastrophes to homelessness, but we support each other and I am so proud that I got this moment with her.

Just learned that my bill authorizing a study on the effects of gun violence on Virginia communities and my bill banning the sale of assault weapons to 18-21 years olds are being vetoed by the Governor. When he said public safety will always come first, he was lying.
