Recycling is actually such a huge part of our lives as African people. It’s very hard for things to just get thrown out without first thinking what else they could be used for. But watch the global north keep saying our carbon footprint is a problem because of the size of Africa.
Update:
When we phone her number a man is answering saying it’s his phone and doesn’t know of a Sunflower. People say she was being followed by a man on Friday when she was out. Still no update on her whereabouts.
She was found with her name Sunflower and her pronouns She/Her. We are so grateful that vitriol and violence did not win today. Sunflower will live to see another day.
I wish people understood that misgendering really messes with the mental health of trans people. Especially when it’s someone you thought saw you as you are.
