What happened if you went to the police for help? You got told to shut up.

By the way, grooming gang leaders were allowed to stay in the UK when it was decided that deporting them would breach their human rights.

It's worth remembering that when cases came to the attention of the authorities, they leapt into action. They buried them in case investigating inflamed 'racial tensions'. Maintaining the lie that everything was fine was more important than children's safety.

When a child in Bradford "married" her abuser in a traditional Islamic wedding, her social worker attended the ceremony. The council then arranged for the girl to be fostered by his parents.

A brief summary of life in the UK: 27 million private sector workers support 9 million economically inactive people aged 16-64, 6 million public sector workers, and 13 million pensioners. If you suggest any part of this is unsustainable, people compare you to Hitler.

A friend visiting London has had their phone snatched. The phone is at a hotel six minutes walk from a police station, and the thief is using it to order delivery food, make trips on Uber, etc. He will absolutely be on CCTV. The police have decided its not worth following up.

When the police learned that gangs were approaching children at school gates, they hid the information from parents in case it led to "community tensions". telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/01/0…

When people ask how young men were radicalised, it's worth considering the idea that they weren't and we're just not good at recognising liberal pathologies. If an object appears to be moving away from you, it could be stationary while you're in motion. Chart ages 18-29 via @FT

With two parents on £50k, take-home pay is £79,000. After childcare and rent, they're left with £24,800. A family on benefits renting the same house would clear £30,000 after rent with no need for childcare. You are better off on benefits than on a household income of £100k.

What's the difference between two parents working full time to earn £150k between them, and two workless parents who decide to live off benefits? After tax, rent and childcare, less than £20k a year.

Bus driver with limited, heavily accented English has stopped to yell at a passenger with limited, heavily accented English. He can't understand their answers and they don't understand his questions. This is presumably good for GDP in some way.

Police officers dismissed grooming gang victims who came to them for help. The authorities simply didn't want to know. The story was too inconvenient. telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/01/0…

The USA realising it can brain drain the top 10 per cent of Brits dirt cheap with no assimilation issues would be an actual catastrophe for the UK. Instant fiscal crisis - this group provides 60% of the income tax take - and loads would go.
