This morning our negotiators formally responded to the AMPTP’s “Last, Best & Final” offer.
Please know every member of our TV/Theatrical Negotiating Committee is determined to secure the right deal and thereby bring this strike to an end responsibly. 1/2
We want to get back to doing the work we love. We are ready to get back to bargaining and have asked the AMPTP to return to the table. They have declined.
Studio execs plan to speak with the National Association of Theatre Owners to convince SAG-AFTRA that a long strike could damage the theatrical industry.
The long strike would be caused by studios continuing to refuse to pay actors & writers fairly.
