High school coaches - we have to do something. I have no idea what but this is getting out of hand. Too many good coaches run off for the wrong reasons.
HS basketball players don’t lose hope. When we asked coaches all over the country to help you they responded, 689 of them! 49 different states answered our call for help. Our market research team is analyzing the data now. There are people fighting for you. @letthemplayca1
The same people that told us we would never have a season are the same people that told us advocacy would never work and are now complaining about testing.
Some people have a problem for every solution. We have a path to have a basketball season. Let’s keep moving forward.
Dear @GavinNewsom please let me know a good time for you to hop on a zoom call with the student-athletes on our team. We are looking for the difference between indoors for practice and indoors at dinner parties. Thanks!
Facts:
•43 states played HS basketball - not one of them would be allowed to play under CA’s metric
•0 states had to stop their season once it started
•CA is adhering to tiers that the original author (@NFHS_Org) has since rescinded
Why is CA different?

.@KingJames when you spoke up on behalf of college student-athletes in CA using their own name and likeness @GavinNewsom listened and acted. Will you speak up on behalf of all HS basketball student-athletes in CA now? We need you. @letthemplayca1
If you claim to be a high school sports reporter and write an article about how things have changed - and find a way to NOT mention @letthemplayca1 then you have no interest in telling the whole story.
Basketball coaches we still have some work to do. If you want to get involved message me today. We are already mobilized and working behind the scenes. We need everyone. @letthemplayca1
What started with a single tweet ended with our student-athletes in a meeting with an elected official. They were able to convey their message and find someone to advocate for them. Don’t let anyone tell you your efforts are futile. @letthemplayca1
Spoke to a buddy last night who coaches at the d1 level. When I asked him how the evaluation period was going, he said:
“Who is teaching these kids four dribble step backs and who is telling them it is impressive?!”
“When did point guards stop passing?”
