    Concerned that BBC are promoting the CBI line encouraging workers to get back into workplaces given that virus levels in Scotland are critically high. Employers should be following the guidance to keep all those who can work from home at home till levels go down #bbcgms @scotgov

    The @ScottishTUC has announced that Rozanne Foyer @RozFoyer is to succeed Grahame Smith as General Secretary. Foyer will be the first woman to hold the job n representing Scotland’s 540,000 trade union members.

    I have today asked @scotgov to assist us in gaining clarification from @UKGovScotland on whether the furlough scheme can be used by employers to support working parents to stay home and provide childcare. If this is an option we need to ensure employers use it wherever required.

    Perhaps @SusaninLangside should be expressing her disappointment in @scotgov for failing to provide adequate funding for Glasgow rather than criticising trade unionists and local residents for campaigning to protect and secure the future of essential jobs and services.
