What a pleasure to watch big man @Zach_Edey play his first game back in Indianapolis. It was really moving seeing many of his @BoilerBall teammates and several of his coaches return to show their support.

Working together with Congresswomen Spartz and Houchin and Congressmen Stutzman Messmer and Baird as well as Senator Jim Banks, we ensured strong fiscal discipline by passing balanced budgets, paying down state debt and cutting multiple taxes.

After an hour of debate, #SB358 passed, 28-21. Proud to have voted "NO." The bill states that school districts that close a school building must sell it or lease it to a charter school or state educational institution for $1. One dollar! A slap in the face to public education.

Words cannot express my feelings as I celebrate the birth of my first grandchild, Elizabeth Ann Basler. She weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was 19" long. She is a gift from God, and I feel so blessed. Both my daughter Ashley and the baby are in good health. God is good!

Monday I sat next to Jackson at the @BoilerBall / Wisconsin game. We did our best to cheer the Boilermakers on to a victory but it didn't happen. Poor free throw shooting, turnovers, & a worthy opponent were just too much. Jackson thinks #Purdue will learn from this & get better.

Last week, I recognized the #Purdue @BoilerFootball team with Senate Concurrent Resolution 25 on winning the 2017 @FosterFarmsBowl. In December, Purdue defeated the Arizona Wildcats, 38-35. Congratulations, Boilermakers, on a successful season! Proud of my alma mater!

It was great being at last night’s #Purdue @BoilerBall game! There are no greater fans than @LifeAtPurdue fans! Even with a temperature outside of about -10°F, Mackey Arena was packed to cheer on the Boilers to a victory of 98 to 66!

As session nears the halfway point, I'd like to thank my educators for backing my stance on SB 167, which I did not support. I do and always will support local control of elected school boards and trust teachers to make the right choices.

I handed out 25 pizzas at @LafTransHsg in memory of Joshua Ungersma. Mr. Ungersma was a local pizza delivery driver who tragically lost his life on Aug. 31. The @dominos he worked at on Greenbush St. in Lafayette is donating 75% of its sales this week to his widow and children.

I absolutely condemn the violent protests at the US Capitol. This is not in any way, shape, or form the stance that I support. The actions of these individuals are disgraceful and un-American, and there should be consequences. May God watch over us.

One of the great honors of my life was presenting a man I have respected & looked up to w/ a Distinguished Hoosier Award on behalf of @GovHolcomb. That man was recently retired @mccutcheonmavs basketball coach Rick Peckinpaugh, the 24th winningest b-ball coach in Indiana history.

Happy birthday to Coach Gene Keady! He's #Purdue @BoilerBall's winningest coach, an Olympic gold medalist, and a fantastic human being!
