In awe of all those in the emergency services from both sides of the border who helped in Donegal. The many neighbours who pulled people to safety seconds after the blast. The clergy who tended to the dead. They are all heroes. And they will need support in the time ahead, too.

Thread: Anti-vax, anti-mask, anti-lockdown, anti-media activists are hell-bent on spreading misinformation on Covid-19. Reality check time (again): Challenge authorities, oppose restrictions, refuse vax. That’s your right. But spread dangerous falsehoods and you may be exposed.

My exchanges with Sinéad were short-lived but memorable. One time after turning down my interview requests, I noticed she was asking for donations to help a donkey sanctuary. I donated. The next day she emailed: “Thanks, Mr Edwards — but when a woman says no, she means no”.
