Gabriella Miller was a courageous Virginian who gave her all to advocating for pediatric cancer research. I’m honored to have worked with her family and @RepWexton to pass a bipartisan bill to reauthorize a pediatric cancer research program I helped created in her honor in 2014. - BIG NEWS: The Senate just PASSED my Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0! This has been a top priority since the day I came to Congress. I’m so proud we’ve delivered lifesaving funding so one day no family has to face the fear and pain of their child’s cancer diagnosis.PASSED: H.R.3391, Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0 By unanimous consent.Gabriella was a courageous fighter and an inspiring advocate. This bill will change lives in her memory. - When I reintroduced the Kids First bill back in 2021, I spoke w/Gabriella’s mom, Ellyn, about her daughter’s courageous cancer battle & advocacy. Extreme Republicans chose billionaire tax cuts over childhood cancer research. In Gabriella’s words, “Talk is BS. We need action.”
00:00 - I’ve been fighting to fund the Gabriella Miller Kids First childhood cancer research program since the day I came to Congress. It has wide bipartisan support. Now extreme Republicans are caving to the world’s richest man so he & Donald Trump can pay for their personal tax cuts.And there you have it. New bill removes funding for this bipartisan child cancer research program. $190 million -- a small drop comparatively -- is now gone. will need to be passed at some other point, if it can get passed at all.

- My heart breaks for the families of the killed and injured in this horrific act of gun violence at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison. Our children do not deserve to live like this. We must do better to keep our kids and our schools safe.
- The EPA's decision to ban TCE, a harmful toxin which is linked to Parkinson's Disease and other health issues, is a significant step to make Americans healthier and safer. I submitted a public comment letter in support of the proposed ban last year. Read my full statement ⬇️
