For me, the omission from this list of Kinks tracks is Apeman. 'I'll be your Tarzan, you'll be my Jane, I'll keep you warm and you'll keep me sane.' Surely the purest description of a relationship ever written.

Solid list with the glaring omission of End Of The Season. Davies skewers the langourous ennui of the upper class and their concerns about Harold Wilson through what can only be described as 'Psychedelic Noel Coward'. A singular tune only Davies could pen. theguardian.com/music/2026/jul…
