    Someone pointed out that the silhouette used on our previous design has been used by RBVE as part of their TOMMY projects. While the image may not be copyright we’ve decided we don’t want to clash with the excellent work they do so we’ve removed the images from our new logo

    Going to the Remembrance Sunday parade 11/11? FREE taxis from all London mainline terminal stations for veterans. 0800-1000 No need to book. Look for the Poppy Cab marshals All taxis wheelchair accessible RT

    This is the view of the Taxi Charity group being escorted by the Dutch police on our journey from Hoek to Brokbeek. There is so much respect for our veterans who are visiting for the special 80 yr Liberation Day ceremony It’s emotional being a small part of this group

    100 year old John King has just been interviewed by a Dutch television personality. Here, among the many other badges he wears, if you look on his tie you will see 2 of the Poppy Cab badges he has been given over the years.

    Taxi Charity took our veterans to Gebbeberg Cemetery, Grebbeweg where a remembrance service was held for Dutch airmen killed in WW2. Even though aged 98, frail and on a wheelchair one of our veterans stood at attention when the last post was played Very moving

    Despite feeling tired after our trip to Holland, Taxi Charity taxis are once again on duty taking our veterans to the VE 80 concert. Here they are lined up in Smith Square waiting that call to duty for the return journeys

    For the 14th year* London’s finest have taken veterans to and from the Cenotaph service and parade. I’ve been fortunate to be there since the beginning. It makes my heart sing to see how egos are put aside as the trade comes together. Well done once again *except 2020

    As of 5 o’clock tonight I had done all I can think of and can physically do. Therefore the Poppy Cab ‘office’ is officially CLOSED Everything is now pushed towards tomorrow morning’s service and parade, The final briefing starts at 0630 PROMPT at the Renaissance Hotel

    Taxis allocated Briefing Notes printed for drivers and marshals Poppy Cab washed and polished (by Findon hand car wash) Hi-vis jackets, umbrellas, flyers, badges loaded into Poppy Cab Time to relax (ish) then to bed ready for early start tomorrow for Poppy cabs duty

    It's been a long hard day after a nights work. My back and left ankle are sore but it's been oh so so worth it Thank you all for make Mg this old man very happy to see the way London's taxis can come together to move mountains (or at least a lot of armed services members)

    *** THANK YOU *** For the help you all gave today The trade really came together once again to show just how good London’s taxis are Only downside was the fact the parade route meant that we needed to have more at Admiralty Arch than usual
