- Sources: Old Dominion has named redshirt sophomore Quinn Henicle the school’s starting quarterback, as ODU opens with Norfolk State on Sept. 5. He’s started two games in two years, going 2-0 with a Cure Bowl win over USF last year and a win at Arkansas State in 2024.

- NEWS: SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey filed another affidavit in an eligibility case involving an SEC school. This one involves former St. John's star R.J. Luis, who is attempting to get eligible at LSU. Sankey calls it "a competitive disadvantage and fundamental unfairness."
