The closure of the Strait of Hormuz sent shockwaves through global natural gas markets.

I concluded my visit to Mozambique with an inspiring discussion with farmers, private sector, civil society, & development partners.
Agriculture employs more than 3/4 of the country’s workforce and remains one of the biggest opportunities for jobs, growth, & food security. 🇲🇿
Access to energy can unlock new opportunities for jobs.
Realizing that potential requires skills, stronger links between education and employers, & knowledge—learning from what works elsewhere and adapting it to local realities.
Mozambique's young people will shape the future.
This afternoon at Eduardo Mondlane University, I joined students, educators, business leaders & government representatives to discuss energy, education & opportunity.
Mozambique's ambition to achieve universal electricity access aligns with #Mission300.
That was at the heart of today’s discussion with 🇲🇿 PM Maria Benvinda Levy, Minister Carla Louveira, & colleagues. The signing of four new @WorldBankGroup operations will expand opportunity through skills, agriculture, social protection, & water—combining financing & knowledge.
A young person is more likely to find work when they have the right skills. A business is more likely to grow when infrastructure improves.
But progress also depends on knowledge—learning what works and adapting it locally.
