Last week, our troopers took part in the Adoption for a Day event, hosted by the Athens County Dog Shelter and the @fosd. We really enjoyed spending time with our Adopted for a Day dog Smidge, who is looking for a "fur-ever" home.
Smidge is Adopted for a Day by the Athens Post. Smidge is sitting in the front seat of the Patrol car, with an OSHP Stetson.

A memorial image features a historical photo of Patrolman Harry. D Grimes. Text reads, ‘In Memoriam, Patrolman Harry D. Grimes, EOW: June 8, 1952.’ The backdrop shows flags at half-staff and Ohio State Highway Patrol Memorial Wall.

Earlier this week, Byesville resident Kadence Hanes, joined @OSHP's Saved by the Belt club due to her life-saving decision to #BuckleUp. In April, she was involved in serious crash in Guernsey County. She wore her seat belt and was not transported for her injuries.
Lt. Henry, Kadence Hanes and Trooper Kaser gathered outside of the Cambridge Post for a photo. Miss Hanes was presented with a plaque and a commemorative license plate for her decision to wear her safety blet.
