The MNR advises that the Implementation Order previously in place for wildland fire Timmins 9 has been revoked, effective June 22 at 10:00 a.m. EDT. While a NOTAM remains in effect, all ground travel restrictions in the Timmins–Kirkland Lake District have been lifted.
Travel and use of roads and lakes in the previously restricted area are now permitted. Fire crews continue suppression efforts. If traveling in the area, please drive slowly near emergency vehicles and give crews ample space to work safely.
Thanks to the efforts of Ontario FireRangers, contract crews and aerial fire suppression teams, wildland fire Dryden 13 is now ‘being held’ at 14,333 hectares.
Five FireRanger crews, 6 contract crews and 3 helicopters remain assigned to Dryden 13.
