Firefighters are on scene of a vegetation fire in the area of Narrow Canyon Road and Acaster Way in Ladera Ranch that was reported at 4:45 p.m. Please avoid the area to allow us to work safely.

OCFA Copter 2 and Copter 4, assisted by @CAL_FIRE fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, supported firefighters on the ground as they stopped the fire’s spread — preventing injuries and protecting homes.

Firefighters held the fire to just seven acres. If you were in the area, you witnessed the coordinated ground and air response that quickly stopped the fire.

Fire has been declared under control. Aerial view from OCFA FIREHAWK earlier in the fire shows where firefighters stopped the fire before it reached the homes.

Last night, firefighters in Santa Ana were able to save an apartment complex from going up in flames. When crews arrived, two cypress trees burning directly next to the building were completely engulfed in flames and just seconds away from extending into the apartment complex. >

At approximately midnight last night, OCFA firefighters responded to a garage fire in Buena Park. All occupants evacuated safely with no injuries. Firefighters quickly attacked the fire, preventing it from spreading into the home. The cause is under investigation.
