A status bill that includes colonialism as an option is not decolonization. @RepAOC & I oppose the Resident Commissioner's legislation & will keep fighting for real self-determination for Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico's colonial status is a stain on our history. It must end.

A year ago, Republicans gutted health care and food assistance to fund tax cuts for billionaires and unleash ICE on our communities. Today they doubled down, sending $70 billion more for immigration enforcement that's already out of control. I voted NO.

With more than 200 combat missions and 38 decorations, Jorge Otero-Barreto was one of the most decorated soldiers of the Vietnam War. He is a Puerto Rican and American hero. Our nation owes him a great debt. It's long past time he received the Congressional Medal of Honor. I

In 2025, the GOP handed ICE & CBP $170 billion. They used it to terrorize immigrant communities, trample the constitution, & kill US citizens in the streets. Now the Senate voted to give them ANOTHER $70B while working people struggle to get by. The House must kill this bill.
