Bit of career news: I’m excited to be joining the fantastic @Reuters team as an automotive correspondent in Detroit, starting next week. I will be covering the Detroit Three, UAW and much more in the wonderful world of autos 🚗 (1/2)
"A Ukrainian tattoo artist blasting heavy metal in a black Opel pulled up to Poland’s border with Ukraine on Sunday, informing the immigration officers on duty that he was headed back to his home country to fight."
“Good,” a Polish officer said.
A bit of personal New Year’s news: I’m thrilled to be joining the staff of The Wall Street Journal! I’ll be covering the auto industry from Detroit. I’m excited to report on this dynamic beat and grateful to join such a brilliant team.
*Fights urge to say “buckle up”* 🚗
“I would love not to fight, and be alive, but this is the time where if I want to be able to look myself in the mirror, I have to, have to go,” said Mr. Azarkhin, who ... had never fired a gun outside a firing range. “Otherwise, I will live in my own personal hell in my head.”
Laura Louden, a Baltimore resident (right) rememberers Cummings,’ “wonderful work in Baltimore...He hasn’t forgotten about anyone in Baltimore, and he took that same zeal to Washington where he fought and continued to fight to his dying day. We loved him.”
Personal news 🧐: I'm thrilled to be joining @PB_News this week as their investigative reporter. Rochester, MN is a fascinating city — from the Mayo Clinic/IBM research hub to its blossoming arts scene (and 🥇☕️ shops) — and I feel really grateful to be a reporter here. (1/?)
This week marked my first year as a full-time @WSJ reporter! The milestone certainly pales in comparison to many of my colleagues who have been here for decades, but I’m so grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to learn and grow over the last year. Some of the story highlights:
A bit of personal news: I’m ecstatic to be joining the @WSJ team in June as an intern on the podcasting team. The intern coordinators have been beyond accommodating, and I’ll be working remotely from home for the summer. I can’t wait to get started!
Pulitzer Prize finalists. This is a tremendous honor. I'll never forget the dozens of calls @cdweaver and I made to families of Menlo Park residents who died. They courageously shared the stories of their lost loved ones through tears, frustration and disbelief.
It was so lovely reporting out this story, and a real thrill to have a @WSJ A-hed! Take a look to meet some eccentric eels, solo songbirds & ornery orangutans (DM's are open for other alliterations that come to your mind while reading...) Hope you enjoy.
