They can’t figure out what to do with all their free time.
It’s weird to think you could make a billion dollar company then fail. Not because startups don’t fail but because you’ve “made it” once. You’ve tasted success.

Hour round trip to school means they clearly don’t live in “Austin”.
Probably Pflugerville or south where they were bamboozled into buying a 500k+ home when promised suburbia was the next big thing with work from home.

I’m sure there’s a few mentally prepared, but I’ve had to say “Well we don’t have that team here yet. You’ll need to do it” a lot. Especially around data analytics.
