7:17pm-Waves of showers & spotty t-storms will work across the region today as a front stalls nearby. Any isolated severe threat will remain south of I-64 & across northeast MD where some filtered sun may break through. Threats include wind, lightning, & locally heavy rain.

Showers are likely today, though there could be several breaks in the precipitation throughout the day as well. A few storms are possible, primarily during the afternoon hours, but these will be few and far between. Some thunderstorms are possible again on Sunday.

A slow moving cold front and multiple waves of low pressure will affect the area through the weekend. While showers and thunderstorms will begin developing this afternoon and evening, the most widespread rains will be tonight into Saturday.
