    Storm chances will return to the area Wednesday night, with the best chances residing in central and northern Kansas. The strongest storms will be capable of producing up to damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall, though up to dime size hail is possible as well. #kswx

    After warm and dry conditions on Wednesday, storm chances will return to the area Wednesday night and persist into Thursday and Friday. Highs in the mid 90s are expected Thursday and Friday, and lows will largely reside in the 70s areawide. #kswx

    On this date back in 2016, Eureka was stuck by a strong tornado. This twister produced EF-3 damage northwest of Eureka and EF-2 damage throughout the town of Eureka. 100+ structures were damaged but luckily there were no injuries or fatalities. #kswx

    Thunderstorm chances are expected to increase from the northwest Wednesday evening and night. The strongest activity will be capable of pea to dime size hail, 50 to 65 mph winds, and locally heavy rain. #kswx
    The forecast is for central and eastern Kansas after 8 PM Wednesday night. The higher thunderstorm chances are over central and northern Kansas.

    Temperatures will continue to slightly warm tomorrow through Thursday, with a slight cool down for Friday. There will also be chances for occasional showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night through Friday night but there will be some dry time as well. #kswx
    Forecast Tuesday through Friday across central, south-central, and southeast Kansas. High temperatures will range from the upper 80s to mid 90s Tuesday, with 90s Wednesday and Thursday with a few locations hitting the century mark, and upper 80s to mid 90s on Friday. Overnight lows will be in the 60s and 70s. Storm chances return to the region Wednesday night into Thursday morning with occasional storm chances through Friday although it won't rain that entire time.

    The first half of the week will be characterized by slightly warming temperatures each day and mostly dry conditions. However, late Wednesday shower and thunderstorm chances will return to the region with off-and-on storm chances persisting through Friday. #kswx
    Forecast for Monday through Friday across central, south-central, and southeast Kansas. High temperatures will range from the upper 80s to low 90s Monday and Tuesday, low 90s to around 100 Wednesday and Thursday, and upper 80s to lwoer 90s on Friday. Overnight lows will be in the 60s and 70s. Rain and thunderstorm chances will return to the region Wednesday night with chances persisting through Friday although it won't rain this entire time.

    It sure has been a busy year so far with respect to thunderstorm warnings (tornado, severe, flash flood) across Kansas. National Weather Service offices across Kansas have issued 1429 warnings in 2026 (through June), which is the 2nd most since records began in 1986. #kswx

    Scattered slow moving storms will impact southeast Kansas through midnight. The stronger storms will be capable of producing brief heavy rain and 50 mph winds. Some minor flooding will be possible with the stronger storms. #kswx

    High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s to finish the weekend and start next week. Wednesday is forecast to be the warmest day with highs in the mid 90s. This the next better chance for showers and storms mainly over northern Kansas later in the day. #kswx
