Along with flooding potential, thunderstorms this afternoon and evening will have a non-zero threat for producing damaging wind, though most gusts should be between 30 to 45 mph. The favored area for these damaging winds is mainly south of I-80 within the Pennsylvania counties.
A Flood Watch is in effect from 11am to 11pm EDT today as slow-moving thunderstorms producing heavy rain on saturated grounds may result in flash flooding. Areas previously receiving rain or flooding will be especially susceptible. Remain alert for the latest warnings today.
Flash Flood Watch update: Cancelled for Western PA. Our focus remains on Eastern Ohio as we track storms with the potential for flooding for the next 2 hours.
