    A special weather statement has been issued for Strasburg CO, Bennett CO and Prospect Valley CO until 3:30 PM MDT #COwx

    Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening, with gusty outflow winds. A few storms may become strong to severe along the Cheyenne Ridge, with 55-65mph winds the primary threat. Patchy smoke may lead to locally smoky skies. #COwx

    The heat is here to stay! Hot and sunny conditions are expected this week with afternoon highs in the low to mid 90s. Despite the heat, there will be a chance for isolated storms each afternoon with the highest potential on Tuesday and Wednesday. #COWx
