Very warm to hot temperatures will be observed again on Tuesday. Isolated to scattered showers & t-storms will develop over many of the mountains, particularly the southwestern ranges & central mountain chain. #NMwx

A few thunderstorms will develop over northwest to far west central NM Tuesday afternoon with very dry air beneath the cloud bases. This will lead to considerable evaporation of rainfall with abrupt & erratic and gusty winds with a few lightning strikes. #NMwx

Hot with a better coverage of showers and storms today and especially Tuesday. Storms across northwest and far west central NM will produce little, if any, measurable rainfall, gusty and erratic winds, and some dry lightning strikes which could result in future fire starts. #NMwx

The Storm Prediction Center has expanded the Marginal Risk for severe thunderstorms westward slightly for today. It continues to include much of eastern NM. The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds this afternoon and evening.
