I think the memes of this scene kinda make you forget how well executed this moment is because with any other show or director this could’ve been a huge jump the shark moment the rest of the show could never come back from
Honestly incredible how this made a billion dollars at the box office and yet it left absolutely no cultural impact whatsoever and nobody on here or irl really even acknowledges it exists
dope as hell to lay the groundwork for one of the biggest franchises of the last 30 years (while also maintaining a safe environment for your child stars) & then spend the later part of your career talking shit on the owner/creator of said franchise while producing Eggers films
