IOP Connector collision update: Five people taken to the hospital with moderate to serious injuries after the collision which occurred at 8:19 a.m. The cause is under investigation. Please be extra careful as you travel over this holiday weekend.
Officers are working a collision with minor injuries on Hwy 17 at Long Point Road. Two lanes of 17 southbound and the left turn lane northbound are blocked. Tow trucks are on the way.
A blown transformer has knocked out power in parts of the town. Multiple traffic lights are out south of 526. Officers are assisting with traffic at those intersections.
526 west is BLOCKED just before the Wando Bridge. A single vehicle rollover crash. No injuries. The closure is to facilitate the tow truck getting the vehicle removed.
Officers are working a collision on Hwy 17 at Anna Knapp. All of the northbound lanes of 17 are blocked. One lane southbound and westbound on Anna Knapp also blocked.
Officers have one lane of Chuck Dawley Blvd. closed on the eastbound side in front of the MUSC offices. Apparent water main break. Waterworks is on the way.
