- Minister Mohamed Ameen chaired the Visit Maldives Year 2027 Steering Committee meeting today. With preparations steadily underway, VMY 2027 promises to be a landmark year for Maldivian tourism, bringing new visitors, and new opportunities to the destination.
- The closing ceremony and certificate handover for the 5th batch of the Standard First Aid Training Program was held on 6th June 2026 at the BG Futsal Ground, Male'. A total of 21 participants from different resorts within the K, AA and LH atoll completed the training.
- Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Maldives, H.E. Wiebe de Boer, paid a courtesy call on Minister Mohamed Ameen. The meeting offered a opportunity to explore avenues for tourism cooperation and deepen the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
- Minister Mohamed Ameen received Australian High Commissioner H.E. David Jessup for a courtesy call today. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing connectivity, and fostering sustainable growth in the Maldives tourism sector.
- Minister Mohamed Ameen held an introductory meeting with the Maldives Tourism & Tour Guide Association, opening dialogue on key industry concerns and the way forward for the sector.

- 22 participants from Raa, Baa & Lhaviyani resorts completed the Standard First Aid Training Program. Certificates were presented at Cyryx College on 16 May. Deputy Minister Hassan Suwad stressed the importance of applying these skills in the workplace and daily life.
