25 years later… Same husband, same dress, 1st son (Hector, 23) 1st year Med Student, 2nd son (Eric, 17) accepted at Univ of Chicago. To all women… Yes, you can be a busy Interventional Cardiologist and have a family! Just find the right husband :)

- Had the honor of doing 1st STEMI case in a pt with suspected COVID at our institution today. Sick, requiring intubation in cath lab. 1.-I felt peaceful knowing we were well prepared & protected. If I get infected, then nothing can stop this virus, were as protected as can be. 1/
- Starting 1st TAVR today with all women except 1 fellow. Interv fellow & Surgery fellow are women. I was 1st woman ever in my cardiology fellowship, very different today. Great change in just 1 lifetime! Progress changing the Face of Cardiology. Happy Women’s Day!!! @MayoClinicCV

00:00 - New COVID pandemic phase..."Cut your own hair”! I knew I had to do a TAVR & a TS MViV today. Hair too long to contain properly under surgical cap. Business closed= no hairdressers. So… I cut my own hair! Not a good hair cut but TAVR, STEMI and challenging TS MViV went well :)
