    I have spoken to Portland Mayor Keith Wilson and offered my support and Seattle’s collective support. Trump's threats against American cities are illegal, authoritarian, and an attempt to silence free speech and intimidate the American people. We stand united.

    In honor of #TSTheErasTour coming to Seattle, the Seattle Animal Shelter will be offering $13 adult cat adoptions this week! We hope some Swifties coming into town will consider bringing a forever friend home with them to start their very own Love Story.

    I want to be very clear – we will not tolerate crime in Seattle. We will not look the other way while the fabric of our neighborhoods is destroyed. This status quo is not acceptable and while it will take time we are headed in a new direction with urgency.

    Today, I signed legislation to create a new off-leash dog park and multi-use trail in Georgetown. We are working together to build #OneSeattle that is a beautiful and welcoming place for all, including our furry four-legged friends.

    My heart breaks for the student who lost their life and for their family, friends, and the entire Ingraham High School community. Schools must be safe havens for our youth to learn, grow, and thrive, and our students must trust that they will be safe in the classroom.
