Colorado Springs, many of you are seeing and smelling the smoke from the Aspen Acres Fire burning to our south. It is a reminder of our own experience with wildfire, and brings back some of our darkest days.

City administrative offices will be CLOSED in observance of the 4th of July holiday on Friday, July 3 and for a scheduled furlough day on Monday, July 6. Regular business hours resume Tuesday, July 7. Have a safe and happy holiday weekend!
Today, after careful consultation with the Colorado Springs Fire Department, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all professional Fourth of July fireworks shows across Colorado Springs.
