Myles Rice 6’2 G Atlanta Celtics
Rice checked off all the boxes when it comes to a true pg this weekend. His defense was put on display more than ever and while he had his way scoring he still makes sure to get his teammates involved.
El Ellis 6’3 G Tallahassee CC 2021/ Louisville
-Ellis was a savvy guard that like to have fun with game but also knows when to turn on that kill switch. 3 level scorer, eyes all over the court and he feeds off of his teammates. Was def in contention for MOP on the weekend.
Kai Sotto 7’2 F (TSF) 2020
-Kai finished with 27p 10r 6b 4a (25 minutes). You can see his aggression build and he started to punish the rim. What’s really been getting to me about him lately is his passing. Some of the dimes he dropped today were uncalled for.
D’Ante Bass (Windsor Forest) 2022
- Started the game with a monster slam after the opening tip. The upside shows with his size (6’7), jump shot, and his ability to crash the glass for rebounds and defend the rim. Moves like a guard up and down the court. Lock this one in!
Sharife Cooper (McEachern) 2020
-Watching him in on tv, he was simply unguardable, having his way, but finally seeing it live, in person was a whole diff story. He is too skilled, poised, calm, and simply built for this! He erupted for 52pts and the W.
Myles Rice 6’2 G Sandy Creek 2021
-I caught the matchup against Wheeler and it was very impressive to see Myles be able to break down 3 different style of guards. Not only does he give it to you offensively, he is one of the top on ball defenders as well. 27pts and W.
Shamarrie Hughie 6’6 F/G Beach (2023)
Finished with a dominant 27 points in a tough matchup with The Benjamin School. Scored on all three levels, got to the ft line and used his size to make fits defensively. Showed why this Beach team is always one to watch come playoff time.
Michael Whitmore (Woodward Academy) 2020
-“You know me, I always have to smile”, Whitmores exact words after taking over yesterdays matchup. He was a pest on both ends of the floor and controlled the game from start to finish. This kid was ready for the moment and he owned it.
Anderson Mirambeaux 6’7 F Trinity Valley CC 2021
-the foot work and patience around the basket showed by Anderson was very impressive. He step out and shoot the J if needed or will just bully you with his frame. Aggresive on the boards and he ran the floor with ease.
