The DFS Special Operations team delivered Rehab 7 to support the @FranklinMAfire at their three-alarm fire last week. As we head into the summer, rehab is especially important to avoid heat-related illness and support firefighter health and safety during long operational periods.

.@WESTON_FIRE Chief Justin Woodside came to the Fire Academy this week to recognize 3 recruits from @SalemMAFire & @WinthropFD. The trio spotted an unresponsive cyclist, called 911, and undertook lifesaving efforts until Weston FD arrived. Outstanding work when it mattered most!

On June 12, 2016, 49 people were murdered at the #PulseNightclub. Through the efforts of Fire Chief Otto Drozd, @NFPA, and many others, the tragedy led to the creation of #NFPA3000, the integrated police/fire/community framework that @EOPSS has adopted statewide in Massachusetts.

This jar of unknown bright red cylinders was recently dropped off at an event in #BourneMA. In an abundance of caution, the DFS Joint Hazard Incident Response Team was requested. JHIRT brings extensive experience with reactive/energetic substances, and they gave it the all-clear.
