Nyc gonna turn into a ghost town. Gentrification isn’t going to fully work because even the transplants aren’t able to afford it now. There’s so many empty apartments in these “luxury” buildings. Retail spaces are empty. Business offices are empty.
I work at the H&M in the Oculus at World Trade & today a customer discovered lice on a rack of hoodies. They’re not closing the store nor are they notifying employees of the problem. The section was just blocked off.
Also, we’re fucking New York City. Even with our hoods we were still an A1 place that people came from all over to see. We just needed a power wash and better resources for the natives.
