    Took 3 months to find it in me to write anything of substance about losing my mother, but the holidays felt like the right time to do it. Of course, she was on top of things and did her Christmas shopping over the summer this year.

    Twitter used to be THE place to come to for real-time updates on stories like the Alan Williams one today. And we’re really seeing how downhill this app has gone in that regard with the tweets from blue badges with totally false information being prioritized.

    It's with great sadness I share that my mother, Sheri, passed away peacefully this morning and was fortunate enough to have the comfort of all three of her kids home. I'll be around a little less for the time being as we grief the loss of a woman truly too good for this earth.

    State champs! The Bradley-Bourbonnais Unified team defeated Vernon Hills 54-47 in the IHSA Unified Basketball Division I State championship. It’s the first basketball state championship of any kind in school history.
